As CEO and Founder of Phoenix Interactive Design, Kyle is the visionary on strategic direction and the driving force behind our high performance team and operational excellence. Ever since she started "changing the rules" and "shaking things up" in the early 80s, Kyle has been a respected leader and major influencer in the global self-service industry and she continues to earn the respect of customers, colleagues and competitors. In 2006, Kyle was the recipient of the RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Award, a prestigious award that provides national recognition to Canada's women entrepreneurs whose businesses and achievements have influenced and benefited the economy through dedication to excellence. In 2008, Kyle was once again honored for her talents and achievements as a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year®. Her personal mantra? "World Domination is a full-time job."
Kyle is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
John Franklin, Director
As Director for Phoenix, John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge as a bottom-line oriented executive with 30+ years of experience managing businesses at the Chief Executive Officer level. John is a major investor in Phoenix and has played an important role in the company's strategic positioning and development since its start-up in April, 1987. John received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1971 and has an undergraduate degree in Engineering. In addition to John's involvement with Phoenix, John is President & Controlling Shareholder of Airia Brands Inc.
John Spenler, Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, John is responsible for all aspects of the overall technology vision and architecture, product development and customer delivery for Phoenix. John has over 15 years of experience in the financial self service industry and has spearheaded the design and delivery of Phoenix's suite of self-service products. He is instrumental in developing and motivating the team that delivers innovative solutions to our global customers. John holds an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
Nick Hames, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Client Services
As the Executive Vice President, Business Development and Client Services, Nick is responsible for driving customer acquisitions, generating revenue growth, and forging profitable strategic alliances. Nick has over 30 years of experience in the ATM industry, with many of those years in leadership roles in the Financial Services Group at NCR Canada. Prior to NCR, Hames was with the Toronto-Dominion Bank’s Green Machine (ATM) division. His solid management experience maximizes Phoenix's market/client opportunities around the globe, and further develops the Business Development and Client Services team into a “high performance” team.
Marlene Goncalves, Director, Client Services
As Client Services Director, Marlene is instrumental in developing and maintaining the highest standards of client relations. She is a key liaison to our services and support organizations to ensure the voices of our customers are heard, their needs are met and we deliver with excellence, not only during active projects but long after. Her 18 years in the financial service industry is evident. She can relate to the challenges and provide the proactive leadership that is the hallmark of our success.
