Phoenix Solution Featured in Bank Systems & Technology Magazine

Phoenix Interactive's text-to-speech solution for National Australia Group: Europe's ATM network was featured in the Best Practices section of the October 2005 issue of Bank Systems & Technology magazine. The banking group, which now consists of National Australia Group's Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank and Danke Bank's Northern Bank and National Irish Bank, asked Phoenix in July 2004 to customize and deploy its VISTAatm Text-to-Speech module to its ATM network.

The module, which was easily integrated into the banks' existing VISTAatm Terminal Software solution, went through a trial period in December, 2004 where visually impaired testers provided valuable feedback on how to improve the solution. The text-to-speech solution went live in April of 2005. The implementation has brought the banks into compliance with mandated disability legislation and they have seen ATM usage by visually impaired increase.
