VISTAatm Drives U.S. Bank's ProdigyATM™ Install at California and Nevada Walgreens

Phoenix Interactive's VISTAatm terminal software is helping U.S. Bank deliver an enhanced ATM experience at Walgreen's throughout California and Nevada. The completed deployment of 304 new ATMs, that U.S. Bank has branded as ProdigyATM™, delivers a dual-branded display, bilingual screens, and true text-to-speech voice guidance technology. The features are delivered on Phoenix's industry-leading VISTAatm windows-based, multi-vendor terminal software solution that allows ATM deployers to easily deploy different branded displays throughout their network, deliver and update targeted marketing campaigns, and provide enhanced functionality such as text-to-speech technology.

MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 19, 2005) - U.S. Bank has expanded its presence in California and Nevada with the installation of 325 ATMs at Walgreens stores across 35 counties in California and in five cities in Nevada. U.S. Bank now has 656 ATMs in California and 116 in Nevada. U.S. Bank ATMs will also be in 13 new Walgreens stores that are scheduled to open in California.

"Walgreens is a wonderful partner and we are confident that this mass deployment of ATMs will be mutually beneficial to customers of both U.S. Bank and Walgreens," said Mary Blegen, senior vice president of 24-hour banking at U.S. Bank. "It also underscores our continued growth in these two states, as well as throughout the region."

The deployment of 304 new ATMs in California nearly doubles the number of U.S. Bank ATMs in the state and the new service complements the services provided at 312 U.S. Bank branch offices in California. The 21 ATMs in Nevada Walgreens locations brings the total number of U.S. Bank ATMs in the state to 116. U.S. Bank has 52 branch offices in Nevada.

California counties that will see this ATM expansion include Alameda, Butte, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Tulare, Ventura, Yolo and Yuba. The Nevada expansion will include Carson City, Reno, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson.

The services customers can expect when they see the U.S. Bank sign in a Walgreens window include standard cash withdrawals, balance inquiries and funds transfers. They will also be able to order checks and copies of canceled checks, change their PINs and print statements. The ATMs will also feature bilingual screens and voice guidance for the visually impaired.

The new ATMs operate on a Windows-based platform and feature vibrant, attractive graphics and screen designs, and audio-assisted capabilities via 'text-to-speech' technology. This platform, known as ProdigyATM™, provides the foundation for new features such as allowing ATM users to customize and save their personal "fast cash" preferences and true one-to-one messaging and marketing capabilities.
