Phoenix Interactive Appoints New CTO and Director of Professional Services

John Spenler and John Leidl bring over 30 years of combined experience to new positions

Phoenix Interactive Design Inc., provider of a Windows™-based multi-vendor ATM operating software (VISTAatm) to the financial services industry, has appointed John Spenler as chief technology officer and John Leidl as director of Professional Services.

Spenler has more than 13 years of experience, with extensive knowledge of interactive, self-service systems, having designed and developed applications that are portable across hardware platforms, operating systems and delivery channels. Spenler holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

"My experience and understanding of the self-service industry bolsters Phoenix's multi-vendor offering to financial institutions worldwide," said Spenler. "In addition to a concentrated focus on our customers, experience working with leading financial institutions has confirmed to me that it is critical to constantly enhance and update the products and services we offer to remain in step with self-service banking demands and regulatory requirements."

As Phoenix Interactive new director of Professional Services, Leidl is responsible for growing and strengthening the company's relationships throughout the financial industry by delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget to Phoenix's global customer base. Leidl holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario and an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and has more than 18 years of experience in banking software technology products.
