Phoenix' VISTAatm Software Enables Milestone in ATM Transformation Project

Phoenix Interactive Design Inc. is pleased to announce completion of the world's largest and most comprehensive ATM transformation in the industry. Phoenix and its partners TD Canada Trust and Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co. have delivered next-generation automated banking machine capabilities for TD Bank's Green Machine™ network of more than 2,400 ATMs. The attached release from Hewlett-Packard highlights the details of this major ATM network transformation inclusive of Phoenix's VISTAatm terminal driving solution running the IFX message standard.

Phoenix and HP have a contractual agreement to provide ATM application software/middleware and application development services for TD Bank Financial Group. In August 2005 VISTAatm officially went live on TD Canada Trust ATMs using the bank's legacy 473x messaging protocol to a custom terminal switching environment. More recently, the solution has been enhanced further and is fully rolled out with IFX as an open messaging standard across the entire ATM network for end-to-end ATM transaction and operational processing. In addition to improving the overall customer interface at the ATM, the bank is now deploying advanced functionality including "My Favourite Withdrawal" and enhanced accessibility for visually impaired cardholders through Text-to-Speech functionality in both English and French languages.

"TD Canada Trust continues to be recognized both domestically and on the international stage as a leader for retail financial services. The bank's customers continue to expect excellent customer service experiences from TD Canada Trust and the bank's ability to deliver best-in-class service at the ATM ensures this enviable market position is upheld. Phoenix is proud to be a part of this tremendous network transformation," commented Kyle MacDonald, CEO of Phoenix Interactive Design Inc. "As a partner of the bank and the consortium members at Hewlett-Packard, we applaud the bank's vision for pushing the envelope in ATM technology and embracing the IFX standard to maximize the benefits of this critical customer touch point."

Richard P. Urban, President of the IFX Forum echoed the accolades of this industry-defining achievement. "The deployment of a full function and robust IFX messaging solution over 2,400 ATMs represents the most significant deployment of IFX on ATM/Self-service devices to date anywhere in the world. The IFX Forum congratulates Phoenix and their partners on this accomplishment!".
