U.S. Bank was able to enhance their brand and offer a dynamic, customer-centric ATM experience with the introduction of their newly branded "ProdigyATMTM". The initial deployment in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland, Cincinnati and Phoenix markets demonstrated a clear example of the Bank's Five Star Service Guarantee. The positive feedback from both customers and employees of U.S. Bank set the stage for rollout to U.S. Bank's network of more than 4,900 Diebold Opteva, Diebold 'IX' and NCR ATMs.
Why US Bank Chose Phoenix
In 2004, U.S. Bank chose to replace their legacy/proprietary OS/2 ATM software with Phoenix's smart client solution for Windows, VISTAatmTM. Building on the open architecture, flexibility and power of the VISTAatm platform and drawing from the self-service "best practices" expertise from Phoenix, the Bank delivered a dynamic and personalized experience to their customers with the newly branded "ProdigyATMTM." The enhanced experience includes targeted marketing, preference setting at the ATM, fast "one button" transactions, and an ADA compliant interface including audio lead through. In addition to on-going initiatives to enhance the customer experience, VISTAatm has enabled U.S. Bank to manage and deploy a single application across multiple hardware platforms, maximize operational efficiencies and realize the potential of their ATM channel.
Over the past several years, U.S. Bank has further benefitted from their move to a Phoenix solution by using the VISTAatm Developer WorkbenchTM to become self-sufficient in the ongoing management of their ATM application. The Bank can now react quickly to new regulatory and business requirements by developing and validating in a desktop environment and deploying new functionality at a fraction of the cost and time compared to the proprietary, legacy ATM environment.
