The VISTAatm SNMP Module provides the desired control and problem diagnosis information needed to run an efficient ATM channel. The SNMP Module is designed to act as a client for any network monitoring tool and/or server that generates notifications based on specific ATM events, thereby greatly increasing your ATM monitoring capabilities. Through a direct communication to your network monitoring tool, the VISTAatm SNMP Module delivers detailed information regarding the state of health of your ATM network (regardless of make or model). You will not be hindered by message simplification issues and lack of event details coming through your Switch. The VISTAatm SNMP agent provides greater control and flexibility over your ATM network by giving you the ability to:

• Two-way communication between the ATM and your monitoring system
• Report on application status
• Poll your ATM(s) to retrieve detailed state of health to better diagnose status
• Remotely reset your ATM(s), thereby eliminating the need for a site visit
