In 2003, ABN AMRO chose Phoenix's VISTAatm multi-vendor ATM software to replace their existing OS/2 based ATM software and improve the customer experience delivered to their combined network of over 1,100 ATMs. The bank, operating under the LaSalle Bank brand, has successfully implemented the solution on Diebold, NCR and Wincor-Nixdorf hardware platforms with a single run-time application, a single messaging protocol and a single device handler at the Base24 switch. Initially, the roll out supported two distinct Bank brands (LaSalle & Standard Federal). Additionally, the bank has satisfied ADA audio lead through compliance regulations with their implementation of Text-2-Speech technology in both English and Spanish languages. LaSalle Bank was also one of the first banks globally to implement the Microsoft Windows XP Pro operating system on self-service/ATM devices.
