Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) and their parent company, National Australia Bank Group, awarded Phoenix a Global ATM Software Replacement Contract following a rigorous evaluation process in late 2000 and subsequent proof of concept exercise, which started with BNZ.
The project was implemented and rollout completed on both NCR and Diebold ATMs in 2001. VISTAatm's openness and flexibility enabled the Bank to introduce numerous new initiatives including real-time foreign currency dispense functionality and prepay phone registration and top-ups. Additionally, the Bank has leveraged the solution to frequently refresh marketing and branding initiatives. Since this renewed focus on technology and VISTAatm, BNZ has been elevated to the market leader position in all facets of ATM and self-service.
