National Australia Bank Group (NAG) awarded Phoenix a Global ATM Software Replacement Contract following a rigorous evaluation process in late 2000, which started with Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) – a wholly owned subsidiary of NAG.

Following on from successes with the initial project and implementation at BNZ, Phoenix began an initiative at NAG to deliver a "market of one" to the ATM channel by leveraging customer profile data from the Bank's CRM system. The result, for the first time ever, intelligent profile-based targeted marketing at the ATM Channel in a live/production environment with real-time lead generation and sales fulfillment.
